Delivering a commission

The piece is finished. Here is how it reaches your patron, and what travels with it.

Send it from the Commission Room

Once the agreement is in place, the Delivery panel in the Commission Room opens for you. Under Send a delivery, choose the image and select Send for review. It stays private to the room.

Sending a delivery does not change the agreement or grant new rights. The terms you both accepted still decide what the patron can do with the work.

Files it accepts

One PNG, JPEG, WebP, TIFF, HEIC/HEIF, or still GIF, up to 50 MiB. Keep it under 16,384 pixels on a side and 80 megapixels in total.

Animated images, multi-page TIFFs, and layered source files such as PSDs are turned away. Flatten and export first, then send the export.

The check before anyone opens it

Every delivery is checked before either of you can open it. While that runs, the panel reads Checking this upload. If a file can't be cleared, nothing is shared, and you can send another.

What your patron receives

We rebuild the image from its pixels, so nothing hidden in the file rides along: no layers, no camera or location data, no stray metadata. A JPEG stays a JPEG. Every other format arrives as a PNG. If the patron needs a JPEG, send one.

Your name, signed into the file

The file your patron opens carries Content Credentials signed by Narrative Nexus. They record that the image came from your upload, what we did to it, and name you as the artist. Look for the small cr mark under Open private file.

If your own export already carried Content Credentials, they ride inside ours, so anyone checking the file can follow the chain back to your tool. Here is how to export Content Credentials from your tools.

Review, changes, and acceptance

Your patron opens the file, then chooses Request changes or Accept delivery. A change request comes back to you with their note. Send a new delivery when the next pass is ready.

Once accepted, that delivery is the finished work for the commission. More about how commissions run lives on the Artist Network page.
