About Narrative Nexus

Our Mission

Narrative Nexus exists to help dungeon masters create unforgettable moments at the table. We believe the best sessions happen when DMs can focus on their players and the story—not wrestling with tools or drowning in prep work.

We're building an AI-powered companion that handles the grunt work: name generation, rules lookup, encounter balancing, and session tracking. The DM stays in control of the world and the narrative. We just make it easier to run the game you want to run.

What We Believe

  • Moments over features. Every feature should reduce cognitive overhead so you can be present with your players.
  • AI as co-pilot, not replacement.You own the world. You own the story. We're here to help, not take over.
  • Accessible by default.Great tools shouldn't require premium pricing. Our free tier is actually useful.
  • Respect for creators.We don't reproduce copyrighted content. We support the community that built this hobby.

How we use AI

AI is a co-pilot here, never the storyteller. The DM owns the world, the plot, and every ruling at the table—Narrative Nexus handles the grunt work around it: drafting names, looking up rules, balancing encounters, and summarising sessions.

AI features run only when you invoke them, on the content you choose to send. We send that content to third-party AI providers for text processing and to image-generation services for compendium artwork. We do not train AI models on your campaigns, and AI output is a starting draft for you to review—not a finished ruling. Full details live in our Privacy Policy.

Original content, honestly licensed

Our compendium is built from original writing and openly licensed reference material—not scraped sourcebooks. Game mechanics come from the System Reference Document 5.2.1, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license, with other open-gaming content credited to its creators.

We don't reproduce publishers' proprietary text or art, and every AI-generated image is disclosed as such. The full attributions are on our Legal & Licenses page.

The Team

Narrative Nexus is built by a small team of developers who are also tabletop RPG enthusiasts. We've spent countless hours behind the DM screen, and we're building the tool we always wished we had.
