Our Mission

Narrative Nexus exists to help dungeon masters create unforgettable moments at the table. We believe the best sessions happen when DMs can focus on their players and the story—not wrestling with tools or drowning in prep work.

Clear the path to the table. Build a world together. Narrative Nexus keeps prep, play, and campaign memory connected, with help for name generation, rules lookup, encounter balancing, and session tracking. AI handles narrow tasks when you ask; it never takes control of the world or the narrative.

What We Believe

  • Accessible by default.Great tools shouldn't require premium pricing. Our free tier is actually useful.
  • Respect for creators.We don't reproduce copyrighted content. We support the community that built this hobby.

How we use AI

AI has a narrow job here: help with rules lookup, drafts, and recaps when you ask. You own the world, the story, and every ruling at the table.

Original content, honestly licensed

Our compendium is built from original writing and openly licensed reference material—not scraped sourcebooks. Game mechanics come from the System Reference Document 5.2.1, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license, with other open-gaming content credited to its creators.

We don't reproduce publishers' proprietary text or art, and every AI-generated compendium placeholder image is disclosed as such. The full attributions are on our Legal & Licenses page. Our AI commitments and artist boundary are on How Nexus uses AI.

The Team

Narrative Nexus is built by a small team of developers who are also tabletop RPG enthusiasts. We've spent countless hours behind the DM screen, and we're building the tool we always wished we had.
