Neither your location nor your presence is directly known to the affected creature. They don't know which space you occupy and are Off-Guard to you. Targeting you requires picking a square, then secretly rolling both a flat check and an attack — the GM won't reveal why an attack missed.

Undetected is harder to achieve than Hidden (where location is known). The Seek action can raise Undetected to Hidden. Contrast with Unnoticed — Undetected means they know you're somewhere; Unnoticed means they don't even know you exist.
