The Xenowardens are a powerful and well-respected organization who aim to safeguard and study the natural world and ensure that technological advances are ecologically responsible. With an incredibly diverse membership, their ranks include, among others, hermits who practice nature magic and eschew technology and scientists who create renewable energy from algae. On the other end of the spectrum are elite combat units like the Wildknights and the Greenguards and feared ecoterrorists like the enigmatic Oleander. The Xenowardens are led by a Greenspeaker, who's elected by acclaim and advised by their peers. Members Xenowarden Biohulk (Creature 8), Xenowarden Greenhorn (Creature 1), Xenowarden Rootsworn (Creature 3) Bioships Xenowardens travel the galaxy in biomechanical starships that are grown in orbital nurseries and run off solar power. A cross between starship and plant, and entirely eco-friendly, Xenowarden vessels are living beings that possess rudimentary consciousness and are capable of self-healing. Xenowardens regularly perform deep bonding rituals with their starships. Unified Conservatory (UC for short) grow most Xenowarden starships. Where Is the Line? Xenowardens care passionately about the environment, but where does a Xenowarden draw the line between the good of a planet and the good of its people? To what lengths will a Xenowarden go to see their aims achieved? In short: it varies dramatically, with Xenowardens running the gamut from mild-mannered gardeners beautifying a cityscape to fanatical ecoterrorists willing to purge entire civilizations to restore a natural ecosystem. The line is wherever a Xenowarden chooses to draw it.
