Stealth
Dexterity-based skill for hiding, moving silently, concealing objects, and maintaining stealth during exploration.
Stealth (Dexterity)
Stealth covers sneaking, hiding, and concealing your presence and actions from observers.
Untrained actions:
- Conceal an Object: Hide a small item on your person when being searched. Opposed by the searcher's Perception.
- Hide: Attempt to become Hidden while behind cover or in concealment. You must not be observed. Once hidden, you remain hidden until you are spotted or take certain actions.
- Sneak: Move silently at half your speed while Hidden to stay Hidden. Moving faster requires a Stealth check.
Trained actions:
- Avoid Notice: Use Stealth during exploration to remain undetected rather than actively sneaking.
Observed / Hidden / Undetected: These three visibility conditions matter for stealth. Observed means enemies know where you are; Hidden means they know your general location but not your exact space; Undetected means they don't know where you are at all.
Flanking: You cannot flank while Hidden or Undetected — the enemy must be aware of your general presence.
Critical Failure on Sneak: You make a loud noise and become Observed.
