Society
Intelligence-based skill for cultural knowledge, history, law, forging documents, and knowing additional languages.
Society (Intelligence)
Society covers knowledge of civilizations, cultures, history, laws, and social structures. It also allows reading and writing in multiple languages.
Untrained actions:
- Recall Knowledge: Recall facts about local history, cultural practices, laws, notable people, and political structures.
- Subsist: Survive in a settlement by begging, finding odd jobs, or utilizing charity networks. Generally easier in cities than wilderness.
Trained actions:
- Create Forgery: Produce a fake document, signature, or official seal. Opposed by the examiner's Society check (or Perception if they lack Society training).
- Decipher Writing: Decode letters in known languages, including historical scripts.
Languages: Society determines how many bonus languages your character knows beyond their ancestry and Common languages. (Intelligence modifier adds bonus languages.)
Critical Success on Create Forgery: The document is so convincing that magical detection fails unless the spell exceeds a high DC.
