Animal Handling
Wisdom-based skill for calming, training, and communicating with animals and mounts.
Animal Handling covers calming, training, and interacting with animals. It is governed by Wisdom.
When to roll: The DM calls for an Animal Handling check when a character interacts with an animal in a meaningful way.
Common uses:
- Calming a spooked or agitated animal
- Keeping control of a mount in a stressful situation
- Guiding a mount without a saddle
- Intuiting an animal's intentions or emotional state
- Training an animal to perform a simple task
