Intact Inner Tomb
The Fae-sealed heart of the tomb, where old powers still judge who may approach.
Below the main level, accessed via the stairs in the Great Hall of Green Lord's Tomb. The Fae warded this part of the tomb during the rebellion to ensure that anyone approaching the Green Lord did so with proper respect. The wards still hold.
Deliberately thin in the worked example — the GM expected the PCs wouldn't get this far in the first session. Improvise the false afterlife and the burial vault if they do.
Areas
- Antechamber: hexagonal, 20 feet across, featureless white marble. Cannot be entered carrying iron or steel
- Hall of Humility Ward: magical ward; only the humble pass
- Hall of Gratitude Ward: dreamlike ordeal showing savage mortal lives before the Green Lords
- Hall of Offerings: guarded by the Almtakers (Book I p.405). Includes the portal to the Green Lord's false afterlife
- Green Lord's burial vault: sealed off, no physical access. Holds the mummified Green Lord (Book II p.221), canopic jars, grave goods
