Sianna Ferrier
She made the Fen crossable — and something in the marshes still remembers the price.
Before her, the Fen was uncrossable. The historical founder of Marshedge, Sianna Ferrier learned its secrets from The Willow Witches and made settlement possible — and the tales imply the bargain carried a price.
Her instinct was to found a town where others saw only fen and danger.
Appearance: A woman remembered in the telling more than the seeing — lean, dark-haired, with the weathered hands of someone who spent years in wet ground. In old accounts she wears fen-stained clothes and carries a bundle of willow switches, and something about her gaze suggests she has seen things that stayed with her.
Instinct: To found a town where others saw only fen and danger
