The Fomoraij are the Green Lords corrupted by bargains with the Things Below.
Life bent to their will and never quite forgave them. The Green Lords were Makers who ruled The Great Wood and the lands that became Ferrier's Fen — gardeners and breeders and shapers of spirit, who feared death so badly they engineered their way around it and damned themselves doing it.
They grew, bred, cultivated, and bent spirits of the wild to their will. Their works produced wonders, monsters, hazardous growths, and mortal servants whose descendants became The Forest Folk. They mastered life but feared death, and to solve that fear they bred The Fae from spirit and flesh — using them to build waystones, tend estates, and weave false afterlives. When the Fae rebelled, the Green Lords called on The Things Below, corrupted themselves and their creations, and eventually fled beneath the earth as The Fomoraij.
Remnants
Green Lord sites should feel lush, beautiful, and wrong: old plantations, chimerae, gardens that hunt, drowned ruins, and places where the border between wild spirit and cultivated flesh has been deliberately blurred.
