Thornthumb's Residual Hoard
He slipped past your wards and took what was his — but not quite everything.
- Category
- Opportunity
After Sajra is dealt with, the PCs return to clear the tomb — and find that Thornthumb has already slipped past Vahid's Sanctifying Mark and made off with his old hoard. Mostly.
What's left behind
- The Interred Bronze Hatchets in the Collapsed Hallway of Green Lord's Tomb (Thornthumb never knew about them, or didn't care)
- The Large Urn of the Green Lord in the partially-collapsed crinwin chamber — too big and dangerous to move
- The Silver Filigree Sphere, a small grave-good that rolled behind a plinth
- Whatever else the GM wants to seed (a cracked flute, a chipped bowl, a stoppered glass tube)
What it teaches
This is a follow-up beat, not a destination. Use it to reward the PCs for coming back and to teach them that loot-vaults aren't static: someone else is also moving through the world, and they're faster than the PCs are.
Category Opportunity · Intensity Moderate
Revelation: Thornthumb beat the PCs to the bulk of the tomb's loot
Effect: Reduced but real artifact pickup; teaches the world doesn't pause for the PCs
