Security robots are ubiquitous throughout industrialized space and have major presences in both The Pact Worlds and Veskarium, employed and customized by corporations and private citizens alike. While most soldier robot models are built to be as destructive as possible, and elimination robots are designed to kill, security robots usually have fail-safes programmed into their behavior to prevent them from causing any more violence than is necessary to perform their designated security function. This makes them especially useful in cities, where unintended destruction might harm bystanders or cause legal issues, and even on starships, where a stray laser blast might cause serious damage to vital starship systems. Security Robot Abilities Security robots come in a wide variety of makes and models with a near-endless variety of customizations based on both manufacturer capacity and consumer trends. The most common method of customization is simply giving one's robot a different weapon. Robots can be programmed to use any technological weapon, and they're typically integrated into the robot. You should compare the attack bonus and damage to the Strike Attack Bonus and Strike Damage tables, adding a modifier to increase the values if the weapon itself is too weak for the creature's level. Another simple solution is to use the attacks of another robot or other creature of a similar level, slightly adjusting the damage or damage type to fit your custom robot. The Creature Adjustments section offers ways to create security robots designed for other environments, such as marine protection-class robots in an undersea lab or interstellar observer-class robots that can fly through space. You can further modify security robots—or even other robots—with the following robot abilities. To determine appropriate DCs, use the robot's level and the Spell DC and Spell Attack Bonus tables. Exigency Reaction Frequency once every 10 minutes; Trigger A creature targets the security robot with an attack; Effect The robot overclocks its processing power to attempt to avoid an attack, gaining a +2 circumstance bonus to its AC against the triggering attack. Fire Suppressor Two Actions The robot sprays a torrent of water that functions as hydraulic push . The robot must refill its tanks after using this ability. Nanite Surge Two Actions Frequency once per day; Effect The security robot restores 6 Hit Points per the robot's level to one technological creature or item. Members Observer-Class Security Robot (Creature 1), Protection-Class Security Robot (Creature 4), Repair-Class Security Robot (Creature -1) Abadarcorp Approved! Most robots found throughout the Pact Worlds are the product of AbadarCorp or one of its many subsidiary companies. While this means that consumers get guaranteed quality, it also means that expert infiltrators know what to look for in these specific brands of automatons. Robot Languages Most robots don't have languages listed in their stat block, but many—especially civil robots and security robots—have several phrases preprogrammed into their databases: “Please vacate the premises immediately,” “You are intruding on private property,” and so on. In multilingual areas, the robot might repeat their phrases in several languages. However, this doesn't mean they can necessarily understand any of those languages or engage in further conversation.
