Survival

Wisdom-based skill for foraging, tracking, navigating wilderness, covering tracks, and enduring harsh environments.

Survival (Wisdom)

Survival covers living off the land: tracking, foraging, navigating wilderness, and enduring harsh environments.

Untrained actions:

  • Sense Direction: Determine which way is north or get a general sense of where you are without a compass. No roll required in most circumstances.
  • Subsist: Forage for food and shelter in the wilderness. DC 15 in a temperate environment; harder in hostile environments.

Trained actions:

  • Cover Tracks: Move without leaving signs of passage. A creature following must use Survival to Track.
  • Track: Follow a trail of footprints, disturbances, and signs to find where a creature went. DC depends on the age of the tracks, terrain, and whether the tracks were covered.

Environmental Hazards: Survival determines how well you endure extreme cold, heat, starvation, and dehydration during extended wilderness travel.

Critical Success on Track: You move at full speed and gain additional details about the quarry.
