Painted Griffon
A guardian construct of lacquer and gilded wood, shaped like a proud raptor-lion, wheels and strikes at whatever its makers set it against.
A painted griffon is a guardian rendered in lacquer and gilding—an artificial beast shaped like the proud raptor-lion, animated to wheel and strike at whatever its makers set it against.
Construct Armor Like normal objects, a painted griffon has Hardness. This Hardness reduces any damage it takes by an amount equal to the Hardness. Once a painted griffon is reduced to less than half its Hit Points, or immediately upon being damaged by a critical hit, its construct armor breaks, removing the Hardness and reducing its Armor Class to 19.
