Condition — Hidden

Hidden: attackers need DC 11 flat check to target you. They know your space but can't aim precisely. Gained by Hide action, lost by attacking or being Seeked.

Creatures know your general location but can't pinpoint you precisely.

Mechanical Effects:

  • Attackers must succeed on a DC 11 flat check to target you (in addition to any attack roll)
  • If the flat check fails, the attack misses regardless of the attack roll
  • Creatures know which space you're in (they heard you, glimpsed you, etc.) but can't target you precisely

How Applied:

  • Hide action (Stealth vs. Perception DC)
  • Losing line of sight behind cover
  • Certain spells and abilities that obscure your position

How Removed:

  • An enemy succeeds at Seek action (Perception vs. Stealth DC) — you become Observed
  • You leave cover or do something that reveals your position
  • You attack (typically you become Observed after attacking)
  • You take actions that create noise or draw attention
  • Observed: Enemies can see you clearly. Normal targeting.
  • Hidden: Enemies know your space but need DC 11 flat check to target.
  • Undetected: Enemies don't know your space. Must guess which square to target.

Tactical Impact: Hidden is the basic stealth condition in combat. Rogues use it extensively for Sneak Attack setups. Hide behind cover, then Strike from Hidden for the flat check protection. Seek is the counter.

Note: Hiding requires cover or concealment. You can't Hide in plain sight without special abilities.
