An old shipyard converted into the city's flagship manufacturing plant, funded by the same redevelopment wave that built the Riverwalk. Robotic arms stand where riveters once did, running on half the old headcount and twice the ribbon-cuttings, with a visitor center on hand to explain why that's progress. The jobs really are coming back to the harbor. They're not the same jobs, and they're not going to the same people — and everyone on this side of the water can tell you exactly which is which.
Appearance: A converted shipyard of corrugated steel sheds and gleaming new robotic-arm lines, a glassed-in visitor center bright against the older rust around it. Old rail spurs and crane tracks still cut through the new poured concrete.
