The Drowned Temple
Coastal dungeon with predictable 6-hour tidal flooding that limits exploration windows. Rising tides, slippery salt-crusted stone, sea creatures in submerged chambers, and crushing...
A coastal temple to a forgotten sea god, now partially flooded by tides. Accessible only at low tide, and deadly to those who linger.
At low tide, barnacle-crusted pillars emerge from the receding waves, revealing a temple entrance carved into the sea cliff. Inside, salt-encrusted murals depict a sea deity no living priest can name. The lower chambers flood predictably with each tide cycle, leaving a narrow window for exploration. Offerings of pearl and coral still pile before the central altar, left by deep-sea creatures that surface on moonless nights. The stone hums with dormant divine power.
