Three Coven Lake
A cold, churning expanse where three ghost-lights burn every night above drowned and nameless things.
Every night, three ghostly lights burn over the lake — one among the northern bluffs, one on the south shore, the third upon (below?) the waters. Deep in the Steplands lies Three Coven Lake — eight miles by three of murky, choppy water, islands that are really the feet of drowned towers, and bluffs riddled with rock-cut rooms.
This was Teirstered, the City of Three Stars, heart of Stone Lord civilization, rivaled only by great Dulenn. When their servants rebelled, the city's towers fell into the lake over days of siege. The Barrow Builders fought over its ruins afterward, and the waters drank their blood too. Now the Hillfolk call the three lights “the Covens” or “the Witch Lights” and will not say more.
