The Keeps

The shopkeeps and innkeepers who keep Gordin's Delve running — they do not mine the Delves, they mine the miners, and The Bosses mine them in turn.

They run trades, shops, inns, boarding houses, hostelries, and dens of vice. Their businesses control shelter, vice, small commerce, tools, food, and the places where information moves. An ambitious Keep can become a new Boss, and an established shopkeep can hide monstrous private habits behind civic usefulness.
