Truth Seeds

A Marshedge folktale tells of an old herb-tender who tricked a fen-troll into swallowing an enchanted seedpod, sealed by a promise; when the troll broke his word and tried to eat her, the pod burst into a mass of deadly gwir-nettles inside him. The secret behind those seedpods can be learned, turning a shared oath into a wager paid in blooming nettle. The lore comes only from a Marshedge herbalist steeped in the tale, or from the spirit of a gwir-nettle willing to reveal the secret of its birth.
