Parent page Astrazoan --- Astrazoans change shape using a swift but complex somatic process that involves twisting their internal organs, muscles, and flesh into a new form. Their skin cells have a chameleonlike quality that baby astrazoans learn to control long before they're capable of undergoing a full change. Recently, Frozen Trove used astrazoan skin cells to create a dermal augmentation that facilitates near-perfect shapeshifting for the wearer. Frozen Trove claims the cells were lab grown, but the Stewards shut down the project after uncovering evidence of unethical sourcing and illegal procedures. Several “skin suit” prototypes are rumored to exist at large in the Pact Worlds, where they've likely fallen into the hands of crime bosses or unscrupulous collectors.
