--- You have a growth of particularly durable chitin on your arm that you can use as a shield. This shield doesn't need to be held in your hand, and it can't be disarmed. Your shield has an AC bonus of +2, Hardness 4, 12 Hit Points, and a Broken Threshold of 6. If your shield becomes broken, it can't be repaired until you are restored to full health and spend 10 minutes readjusting your chitin. You can spend 1 day of downtime and expend raw materials (such as UPBs) to improve the grade of your shield, but only to a grade up to your level (such as advanced if you're level 8 or higher).
