You attempt to absorb some of the magic of an incoming spell into your blood. Attempt a counteract check against the triggering effect; your counteract rank equals half your level (rounded up), and for the counteract check, use the higher of your spell attack modifier or your class DC minus 10. If you counteract the triggering effect, you end the effect for all other creatures in the area, but you become drained 1 for 10 minutes as your body struggles to contain the transfusion of magic.
