Psychopomps are death’s shepherds who safeguard The Cycle of life, death, and the afterlife by slaying undead or ushering souls safely through the Boneyard. Members Erabryth (Creature 1), Temporai (Creature 14) Heard It All Before Psychopomps are ageless beings, each of whom has ushered countless souls through the cycle of death. They've heard every sob story, every furious insult, every boisterous threat, and every fearful bribe uttered by the desperate and afraid. As such, psychopomps are utterly unmoved by the complains and regrets of the dead and can't be swayed by passionate pleas or lamentations. Psychopomps often seem aloof and uncaring, yet most psychopomps would describe themselves as unwavering and possessing a perspective beyond mortal concerns. Psychopomp Masks Nearly all psychopomps wear masks, though the meaning behind this practice is unclear. Some religious scholars argue it's a form of psychological intimidation or a cultural touchstone, while others believe the sight of an unmasked psychopomp puts unnecessary strain on a mortal soul.
