Doomed always includes a value. Your maximum Dying value is reduced by your Doomed value. If your Dying value ever equals your reduced maximum, you die.
Doomed 1 means you die at Dying 3 instead of Dying 4. Doomed 2 means death at Dying 2. If your maximum Dying is ever reduced to 0, you die instantly. Doomed decreases by 1 each time you get a full night's rest. See also Wounded.
