Specific Armor, Weapons, and Shields
Named treasures such as moonlit chain or a lion's shield skip property runes for their own magic, but fundamental runes can still improve.
Parent page Property Runes
Unlike armor, weapons, and shields enhanced with runes, specific armor, weapons, and shields (such as moonlit chain, a bloodletting kukri, or a lion's shield) are created for a specific purpose and can work quite differently from other items of their type. These items can’t gain property runes, but you can add or improve their fundamental runes.
