Rusted Cage Trap
Level 1
A rusted iron cage hangs above a worn flagstone, rigged to a pressure plate that lets it crash down on whatever steps beneath. The rust is no accident — it hides the seams of a trap that's been waiting a long time.
A creature can spot it with DC 17 Stealth. To deal with it, attempt DC 13 Thievery to harmlessly trigger the trap by nudging the pressure plate, DC 20 Thievery to stabilize the pressure plate so it doesn't trigger, or DC 20 Athletics to Escape from the cage or Force Open the cage once it falls.
