Granted Features
Automatic:
Expands weapon and Unarmed Strike critical hits to a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20, lowering the threshold from the standard 20. Search fit: critical hit threshold, improved crit chance, weapon critical range.
Grants Advantage on Initiative rolls and Strength (Athletics) checks, rewarding athletic characters in combat surprise and climbing, grappling, or jumping scenarios. Search fit: initiative advantage, Athletics checks, athletic subclass feature.

Champion (Fighter)

The Champion pushes physical excellence and expanded critical hit range.

Chosen at: Level 3

Level 3 — Improved Critical: Your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 (instead of only 20).

Level 7 — Remarkable Athlete: Add half your proficiency bonus (rounded up) to Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution checks that don't already include your full proficiency bonus. Also, running long jump distance increases by a number of feet equal to your Strength modifier.

Level 10 — Additional Fighting Style: Choose a second Fighting Style option.

Level 15 — Superior Critical: Weapon attacks score a critical hit on 18, 19, or 20.

Level 18 — Survivor: At the start of each of your turns, regain HP equal to 5 + Constitution modifier if you have fewer than half your hit points maximum (and more than 0 HP).
