Detects Aberrations, Celestials, Elementals, Fey, Fiends, and Undead within 30 feet for up to 10 minutes with Concentration. Also senses active Hallow spells and their locations. Blocked by 1 foot stone/dirt/wood, 1 inch metal, or thin lead sheet. Search fit: creature type detection, undead sensing, blocked by barriers.

Senses the location and kind of poisons, poisonous creatures, and magical contagions within 30 feet for up to 10 minutes while concentrating. Detection blocked by 1 foot stone/dirt/wood, 1 inch metal, or thin lead sheet. Ritual castable. Search fit: poison and disease sensing, venom detection, contagion location.

2nd-level divination allowing two switchable modes: Sense Thoughts detects thinking creatures within 30 feet (blocked by 1 foot stone/dirt/wood, 1 inch metal, or lead); Read Thoughts targets one visible creature to learn what looms large in its mind, then probe deeper as a Magic action to discern reasoning and emotions on a failed WIS save (DC is spell save DC). Target knows you are probing and can use an action to make an Arcana check to end the spell. Requires Concentration, lasts up to 1 minute.

For the duration, you sense the presence of magical effects within 30 feet of yourself. If you sense such effects, you can take the Magic action to see a faint aura around any visible creature or object in the area that bears the magic, and if an effect was created by a spell, you learn the spell's school of magic. The spell is blocked by 1 foot of stone, dirt, or wood; 1 inch of metal; or a thin sheet of lead.
