Falling Damage
1d6 bludgeoning per 10 feet fallen, max 20d6. Creature lands prone unless damage is negated.
A creature that falls takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage per 10 feet fallen, to a maximum of 20d6 (200 feet). The creature lands prone unless it avoids taking damage from the fall.
Examples:
- 10-foot fall: 1d6 damage
- 30-foot fall: 3d6 damage
- 100-foot fall: 10d6 damage
- 200+ foot fall: 20d6 damage (maximum)
Landing prone: A creature that takes any falling damage lands prone. If the damage is somehow negated (e.g., feather fall, monk's Slow Fall), the creature does not land prone.
Rate of falling: A creature falls 500 feet instantly at the end of the turn it begins falling. If the fall exceeds 500 feet, the creature continues falling on subsequent turns.
