Two ghost-children who linger at the water's edge, hand in hand and gone.
Two children, hand in hand, watching from the far bank of the Stream — and then not there. The Quiet Twins haunt the water below Stonetop.
Sightings are uncommon, but common enough.
Appearance: Two children, a boy and a girl, dressed in the undyed wool and rough-stitched shoes of another generation. They are pale, their features indistinct at any distance past a few yards, and their eyes — when you can catch them — are the flat grey of still water. They hold hands.
