The man who turns hides to leather so Stonetop can keep its boots on, at some cost to his own comfort.
Nobody mentions the smell. Sawyl is Stonetop's tanner and Caradoc's boss — broad-shouldered, stained hands, the faint permanent reek of the vats following him around like a third companion.
His instinct is to turn raw materials into something useful. He's currently looking for a new apprentice. A functional NPC for the economic texture of Stonetop and for surfacing tensions around trade relationships.
