Thornthumb
A jealous little Fae gardener who guards his stolen treasures with pricked fingers and long memory.
A prickly gardener-Fae who lost his hoard once and won't lose it again.
Descended from a plant-spirit, Thornthumb tended some Green Lord's garden in the elder war, collecting trinkets and plants and rocks from the soil — fiercely protective of his collection, indifferent to his fellow Fae. His plot burned, his hoard was lost, and he became a loner and outcast. A few centuries ago he found a tomb in the Great Wood, called it home, and began rebuilding his hoard. Then a swyn forced him out. He desperately wants his stuff back.
The name is descriptive, not given — thumb for the gardener, thorn for the prickle. He is one of The Fae, neither fully flesh nor fully spirit, with the resilience that buys: ordinary weapons skim him; iron bites deep.
