It hangs in the Nerth Tree at midsummer, its heart a gift only the strong dare take.

Solitary, large, spirit, fearless. The Nerth Tree can be found by one mortal each midsummer, following a particular path through the Great Wood. Bones litter its roots, and from its branches hangs the serpent whose heart can grant vitality to anyone mighty enough to crush and eat it.
