Ghostly Legion

Horde, spirit, undead, organized, terrifying, hoarder, violent. They were a band of southern mercenaries, come north in search of treasure. They heard tell of a hdour and his hoard, trapped him in his cave, and slew him. Then they divvied up the loot and left. Only later did they learn why the Hillfolk fear to kill a hdour. For he had cursed them all. Cursed their souls to linger after death, doomed to endless hunger and endless thirst. Cursed, indeed, until every piece of the far-flung loot they stole is returned to the hdour's cave.
