The Crossroads

Where the dead answer to their names under moonless skies, and the dool trees remember.

Under the new moon, the dead come when called by name. The Crossroads sit fifteen miles from Stonetop where the West Road meets the Highway, ringed by a copse of dool trees and a use the village would rather not name aloud.

This is also where old broken roads once reached toward the Ruined Tower, the Great Wood, and the Steplands. Shattered road-stones still surface after rain, beasts, or quakes.

Hooks

Use the Crossroads as a liminal road shrine: a place for merchants, ghosts, choices, new-moon rituals, broken-road relics, and scenes where travel, grief, and old Maker magic intersect.
