Wooden Mask

A Forest Folk treaty made wearable — the Great Wood agrees not to bite.

Carved from pale elder wood in the shape of a bird's head, but set with small horns and fangs. The inside bears Forest Folk glyphs for "beast," "spirit," "forest," and perhaps "peace" or "treaty."

When you wear it, beasts of the Great Wood do you no harm, though your companions enjoy no such protection. Harm a beast while wearing the mask and it rots away, losing all power.
