Forked Stick of Redwood

A woodworm-scribed dowsing branch that leans toward the sacred wild.

A 2-foot forked redwood stick, its surface laced with fine woodworm trails that fall into patterns too regular to be chance. Held gently by both tines, it tugs of its own accord.

When you dowse with it, it guides you to the nearest site sacred to the spirits of the wild. With practice, you can read it to estimate the distance and the disposition of what waits there.
