Pretty as a pond flower; merciless as a bear trap in full bloom.

They blend right in, really. But when anything bigger’n a bug lands on one, SNAP, just like a bear trap, the vine contracting and pulling prey underwater. It’s a lethal trap for a small creature. For a human? Just a painful mistake. Unless you panic, of course, or flail, or trip. So just, you know, stay calm.
