Podburst vines

As enemies prepared to invade, the Green Lords layered Vor Svetelik with living boobytraps — and many remain. Tendrils of fast-growing vine cover structures and paths, obvious or hidden beneath soil and brush. When disturbed, they tense and writhe; a seedpod contracts and then explodes (reach, area), and one explosion can set off a chain reaction through all the surrounding growth. Each pod is different: shrapnel seeds, concussive force, ensnaring thorny growth, choking spores, glowing pollen that attracts horrors, or clinging iron-infused dust.
