Hypothermia & frostbite

Cold that steals your grip, your wits, and finally your will to keep moving.

It gets cold in the mountains — very, very cold. Shivering sets in despite fire and warm clothing, and endurance is tested on tasks that would be trivial in the lowlands: keeping grip, keeping footing, just staying upright. Frostbite begins at d6 damage (ignores armor) and gets worse (messy) the longer it goes untreated. At the worst, the cold compels dangerous behavior: lie down in the snow, shed clothing, stop fighting it.
