The Red Scepter
A rod of howling faces that turns whispered cruelty into open flame.

- Major
A bronze rod tipped with a glowing red crystal and carved with hungry faces that howl softly when the wind moves through it. It flares with open flame, drinks the warm blood of helpless victims to store its charge, and bends others toward violence — its bearer's suggestions land as commands no doubting mind can refuse. The more it is fed, the more it remakes its wielder: feverish skin, ember-bright eyes, a constant howling at the back of the mind that drowns out everything but insult and the urge to spill blood.

Properties
When you wield the scepter to incite someone to violence, erase 1 charge and roll +CHA. On a 10+, they must act as you suggest without doubt or fear and deal +1d4 damage, or resist and suffer painful burns. On a 7-9, they may lash out violently at a target of their choice instead. If someone you Inflame kills, mark progress toward Burning Hatred: a near magical reload attack that burns an object of your hatred for 2d4 messy damage ignoring armor. Later Fanning the Flames spreads Inflame or Burning Hatred to crowds or near-area targets, with consequences that deepen heat, fear, bloodletting, fire, and violent persuasion.
