The Azure Hand
A storm caught in a staff, eager to escape the hand that holds it.

- Major
A top-heavy gray metal staff capped with an aetherium hand, smelling of ozone and setting the spine tingling. To bear it is to feel sources, currents, and reservoirs of elemental energy as plainly as gravity, and one may Seek Insight into them.
The Hand gathers raw elemental force into a vortex about its crown — lightning, fire, wind, the trembling of the earth — to be stored, hurled, or poured into other workings. But the power it courts is never fully tame. Those who wield it long are marked by it: eyes gone bluish-white, skin tinted, the air about them thrumming, storms growing fierce in their presence. The greatest bearers learn to calm the elements or summon storms outright, yet the staff exacts its toll in burns, bindings, and bodies that pulse with barely-leashed lightning.

Properties
When you brandish the Azure Hand at elemental energy, roll +CON. On a 10+, gather the energy in a vortex around the staff while you grip it, then direct it into a vessel, discharge it harmlessly, fling it with +INT to Let Fly, or fuel other magic. On a 7-9, the vortex is unstable and demands full focus. Misses mark progress and show how the power goes out of control. Unlocking the staff grants Battery, Eye of the Storm, and eventually Resonance, letting it store energy, calm elements, or shape weather and earthquakes. Consequences burn you, bind you to the staff, alter your eyes and skin, strengthen storms near you, or make failed +CON rolls explode into elemental bolts.
