Pale captured moonlight that strips away every disguise.

A milky crystal, cut into a perfect sphere and steeped in three nights of full-moon light, that drinks down moonlight and gives it back on command. Held aloft in darkness with the sacred word, it casts a cold white glow that renders shape and texture but no color, and lays bare what hides there: the undead, unmanifest spirits, and anyone cloaked by magic or disguise. Pressed to its limit it can blaze all at once against the undead before the stone falls dark. The vein it was hewn from still glows faintly at night, sacred to whoever lives nearby.

To unlock it

personally extract a large hunk of crystal (Value 1) from the vein.
have a gemcutter shape and polish it into a perfect sphere (a Value 1 job).
learn the sacred words for imbuing a moonstone with light and then calling that light forth.
spend three nights under the full moon, speaking the sacred words, risking a mis-take that ruins the moonstone or at least wastes your efforts this month.
