A cracked, age-worn leather scroll case holds a tattered letter and a pair of small, bluish ingots of aetherium. The letter, written in an older Hillfolk dialect from an apprentice to their master, lays out a mental exercise for drawing the latent power coiled inside the metal. Master the working and an ingot's charge becomes yours to take into your own flesh — though the aetherium does not wake gently.

To unlock it

you must translate the letter.
it’ll take a few weeks of dedicated study.
you’ll use up one of the aetherium ingots (or another source of aetherium).
you risk electrocuting yourself and/or using up the other ingot.
