A mummified hand, sealed in an engraved lead box and ringed with three gold bands set with blood-fed red crystal, that still pulses with the unholy vitality of the sorcerer Aals Sannan. Touch it and speak his name and his power floods you, knitting wounds and dragging you back even from dying. Each healing exacts its toll: your face creeps toward his, your instincts curdle, or your heart cools toward someone you love. Spend the crystals and they crumble to be replaced, but what Aals has made of you stays made.
