Fetch’s Mask

Eat a trace of someone and wear their face like your own, until you tear it off again.

A stiff, leathery mask that looks a bit like melted wax, with a large pearlescent sphere set into the forehead, whispering as you raise it to your face. Eat a fragment of someone — hair, blood, a fingernail — and the mask makes you their flawless double until the next sunrise or until you take it off. While you wear another's visage you can read the hopes, expectations, and secrets of those who know them. Removing the mask is its own danger; pull it free too roughly and it leaves your face raw, scarred, and lastingly marked.

To unlock it

don the mask while alone, and wear it unseen for a night and a day.
watch someone unnoticed for a few hours, while you wear the mask.
tell the mask a secret, something no one else knows about you (tell the GM and other players what it is).
tell the mask another person’s secret, something that you’ve promised never to tell (tell the GM and other players what it is).
