Don it and you become a creature of cold and shadow, flinching from any light.

The hide of some unknown black-furred beast, its bristles stiff and the air around it always chill. Whoever wears it learns to tolerate the bitterest cold and to see into the deepest dark, but bright light wounds the eyes and even a campfire's warmth becomes unbearable. Fed on the wearer's own blood, the cloak hungers, and in moments of injury it dissolves its bearer into a fleeting cloud of shadow that leaves hoarfrost on everything it brushes. Sunlight, holy light, or the touch of any other hand strips its power away.

To unlock it

wear it continuously for seven days and seven nights.
stalk a warm-blooded beast on a moon-less night, smearing its blood on the fur.
suffer (or self-inflict) a grievous wound while wearing the fur, drenching it in your own fresh blood.
