Storm Markings

Branching blue markings that course across the skin and glow when their bearer is agitated, sparking and crackling as anger rises. Most who see them read a blessing of Tor the rainmaker, thunderhead and slayer of beasts, though those marked know a divine blessing is also a burden. Lightning and electrical discharge ruin the bearer's gear but spare their flesh, and unchecked rage can call the sky itself down. The more deeply the storm takes root, the harder it is to tell where the wielder ends and the tempest begins.

When you roil with anger, you deal +1 damage until you calm down. Controlling your temper requires +WIS; a miss means you lose it and tell the GM what fool thing you do. Lightning or electrical discharge harms your gear but not you, and instead marks progress. Unlocking Storm’s Fury lets you roll +CON to hold Fury, spending it to thunder-strike for +1d6 forceful loud damage, move like lightning, or bellow like the storm. With enough consequences, Chosen of the Storm-bringer adds lightning bolts, prodigious leaps, and gales, while consequences can turn your anger into random lightning, worsening weather, regional storms, or fear in those whose regard matters.
