You program a ranged spell to split off from your target and connect to a second foe. If your next action is to Cast a Spell without a duration that requires an attack roll against a single target, you can choose a second target within range. You roll one attack roll and compare it to both targets' AC. This counts as one attack for your multiple attack penalty. The second target takes only half the spell's damage for its degree of success, with no additional effects.
Jailbreak If you fail to affect your primary target, your secondary target becomes the primary, taking full damage and all effects.
